    *A tune well known*

    Farewell to Buckleberry Landing Stage
River Brandywine, I fare thee well
I am bound for far off Dol Guldur
A place I know right well

So fare thee well, my own true love
When I return united we will be
It's not the leaving of Hobbiton that's grieving me
But my darling when I think of thee

I'm bound off for far off Dol Guldur
By the way of stormy Mirkwood
And I will write you a letter,my love
    When I am homeward bound

I have signed on as Minstrel in a fellowship
to see if monsters we can tame
And Hirion is the Captain of it
He says he will lead us to fame

I have fellowed with Hirion once before
And I think I know him well
If you do your job, you can get along
If not, then you're sure in Hell

Farewell to The Smials at Tuckborough,
Give my regards to the Thain
For I think it will be a long, long time
    Before I see you again

Oh the sun is on the harbour, love
And I wish I could remain
For I know it will be a long, long time
    Till I see you again

**this came about after I had a problem with my ABC files....they self deleted and I had to copy from my backup set. Unfortunately my backup also has all the unwanted and unsuitable tunes there too, I just made this a little more appropriate *grin* **

Not sure I could regocnize the tune. And that must be a nasty captain there, taking you to hell/giving you hell...?

((The tune is "The Leaving of Liverpool" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1T5UZMCfME ))

The Captain is a good man who leads raids against the dark enemy. This is a dangerous task and he asks each member to do their job, for the success of the raid and the safety of the group depends on it.

I look forward to signing up to another raid under his leadership.
